
Behind this graph (the right one) there is the “money” aspect . Who makes more than others. But more scary can be the “who runs the world” aspect (let aside the “it’s who you know, not what you know”).
Without suggesting that there should be a dominance of a certain type of skill set over others, which is at least what this graph shows clearly, it’s a bit concerning to see that people with strong analytical skills are possibly losing terrain in the administration and decision-making.
I also am afraid that LLMs and the accessibility they offer to even low- or medium-level quantitative analysis/justification may amplify this gap.
